§ 18-123. Purpose.

The purpose and object of this article is to provide for the safeguarding of persons and property from the hazards arising from the use of electricity by establishing certain minimum standards for the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment requiring that permits be issued and inspection be made of all electrical work covered by this article, and fixing a penalty for the violation of any of the provisions thereof.
