§ 2-48. Village board to be cemetery board.

(a)

In accordance with Wis. Stats. § 157.50, the village board of trustees is vested with control of all properties owned by the village for cemetery purposes and shall provide in perpetuity for the management, care and operation of said cemeteries.

(b)

All care funds held by or transferred to the village shall be deposited into the village's general fund without any need for segregation. An accounting of funds utilized for the management, care and operation of cemeteries controlled by the village shall be provided and reviewed as part of the village's annual budgeting process.

(c)

A system of management and operation of said cemeteries, in the form of "Rules," shall be adopted and amended from time to time by resolution. Use of the cemeteries shall be in compliance with the approved rules.
