§ 50-51. Pre-application consultation.

  • Prior to filing an application for the approval of a preliminary subdivision plat or condominium plat, the subdivider shall consult with the plan commission and/or village staff in order to obtain advice and assistance. A sketch plan of the proposed subdivision or condominium shall be brought by the applicant to the meeting. This pre-application consultation is intended to inform the subdivider of the purpose and objectives of the regulations of this chapter, the village comprehensive plan or components thereof, and adopted plan implementation devices of the village and to otherwise assist the subdivider in planning the project. In so doing, both the subdivider and the village may reach mutual conclusions regarding the general program and objectives of the proposed development and its possible effects on the neighborhood and community. The subdivider will gain a better understanding of the subsequent required procedures.
