First violation.
Any person violating the provisions of this article shall, for a first offense, be
subject to a forfeiture of up to $20.00, plus the costs of prosecution. Upon issuing
a citation, the parents or guardian of any violator under the age of 18 shall be notified
either in writing, by telephone or in person by the officer who observes such violation.
(b)
Second and subsequent violations.
Any person who has previously been convicted of violating the provisions of this article
shall, for the second and all subsequent violations, be subject to a forfeiture of
up to $50.00, plus the costs of prosecution. Upon issuing a citation, the parents
or guardian of any violator under the age of 18 shall be notified either in writing,
by telephone or in person by the officer who observes such violation.
