§ 82-73. Regulations.

  • (a)

    No person riding upon any play vehicle may attach the vehicle or himself to any vehicle upon a roadway or go upon any roadway except while crossing a roadway at a crosswalk.

    (b)

    Play vehicles may be operated on sidewalks and paths within the village, provided that the operator yields the right-of-way to pedestrians and does not operate the play vehicle in a fashion which unreasonably impedes, or tends to impede, pedestrian traffic.

    (c)

    The operator of any play vehicle having wheels shall keep at least one-half of the wheels on the ground at all times during operation of the play vehicle, and shall not operate the play vehicle in a fashion which poses an unreasonable risk of harm to pedestrians or property.

    (d)

    The operator of any play vehicle shall not ride upon any private or publicly owned property where the use of play vehicles has been declared prohibited by the owner or party in lawful possession of the property by the posting of a sign or signs prohibiting such activity.
