§ 90-75. Application form and filing.
(a)
Tree protection permit application shall be made to the village forester at the village hall upon village forms at the same time that application is made for a building permit. The tree protection permit application may be combined with the building permit application and filed with the village clerk for forwarding to the village forester.
(b)
Applicants for a tree protection permit shall include a tree location survey/landscape plan to include the following on a scale of 50:1 or larger that complies with the following requirements:
(1)
Subdividers and developers in residential, commercial and industrial properties: Location and species of all existing trees with a DBH of six inches or greater, which are subject to this division. Trees proposed to remain (> six inches DBH), to be transplanted (> three inches DBH), or to be removed (> three inches DBH), shall be identified as such. Groups of trees which are 15 feet or more in distance from any land disturbing activity may be designated as a "clump" of trees, with the estimated number, species present and average size listed. All trees shall be numbered on the plan. Include the boundaries of any existing wooded areas.
(2)
Building contractors and/or property owners: Location and species of all existing trees with a DBH of three inches or greater, which are subject to this division. Trees proposed to remain, to be transplanted, or to be removed, shall be identified as such. Groups of trees which are 15 feet or more in distance from any land disturbing activity may be designated as a "clump" of trees, with the estimated number, species present and average size listed. All trees shall be numbered on the plan. Indicate all trees that are to be removed with a DBH of three inches or greater and the boundaries of any existing wooded areas.
(3)
Location, shape and dimensions of the lot or parcel, existing and proposed locations of buildings, utilities and other improvements, if any.
(4)
Where existing trees are to be transplanted, the proposed relocation for such trees, together with a statement as to how such trees are to be transplanted, protected during land clearing and building construction and maintained after construction, is required.
(5)
A statement indicating how trees not proposed for removal or relocation are to be protected during land clearing and building construction.
(6)
Locations and dimensions of all setbacks and easements required by the Village of Hartland Zoning Ordinance or Subdivider's Agreement.
(7)
The natural drainage patterns throughout the property and grade changes proposed for each lot or parcel of land along with a statement showing how such changes will affect trees protected by this division.
(8)
Location and species of trees to be planted.
(9)
Approved landscape plan, if any is required by another ordinance, to be attached.
(c)
The above data may be combined, as practical, into as many documents as will fulfill the requirement.
