§ 10-2. Carnivals, festivals and street fairs; license required.

  • No person shall conduct a carnival, festival or street fair without obtaining a license from the village board. The license fee therefor shall be as prescribed in appendix A of this Code, except that no fee shall be required of any civic, educational or charitable organization that conducts such events solely for the benefit of the organization. The license shall be for the period stated by the village board. In considering a license application, the board shall consider factors including, but not limited to availability of parking, the number of anticipated participants and spectators, security and sanitation.
