§ 18-52. Permits.

  • (a)

    Required. No swimming pool shall be erected within the village unless the owner or agent has first obtained a building permit from the building inspector. Temporary pools, as defined in section 18-51, are exempt from the provisions of this section. The fee for this permit shall be determined according to appendix A of this Code. Where electrical or plumbing work is required incidental to any pool construction, an electrical and/or plumbing permit shall be required. In accordance with section 46-96, building permits for swimming pools may be issued without the approval of the architectural board unless the building inspector requests a determination of the architectural board.

    (b)

    Applications. Applications for swimming pool permits shall be made on application forms furnished by the village. All applications shall contain sufficient information to show that the proposed installation complies with law and this article.
