§ 50-201. Streetlamps.

  • (a)

    The subdivider shall be responsible for the cost to install street lighting systems of a design compatible with the neighborhood and type of development proposed as approved by the village engineer/DPW director and in compliance with the lighting regulations in section 46-955 of the Village Zoning Ordinance, at the intersection of all streets to be dedicated and at intervals along the public streets as may be required by the village board.

    (b)

    In lieu of or in addition to the installation of public street lamps, the plan commission may permit the installation of private post lamps of a design compatible with the neighborhood and type of development proposed on each lot of a land division and at appropriate locations within a condominium. The type and location of such post lamps shall be approved by the village engineer/DPW director and maintained by the homeowners or condominium association or by the individual property or condominium owners.
