§ 82-5. Use of streets by heavy vehicles.

No vehicles (except a motor bus) which is not equipped with pneumatic tires, or has a combined vehicle load weight in excess of 20,000 pounds, shall be operated on any street or alley where such operation is prohibited, except for the purpose of obtaining orders for, moving or delivering supplies or commodities to or from a place of business or residence facing thereon. The weight of vehicle and load shall not exceed the limits set by Wis. Stats. §§ 348.15 or 348.16(3) for a class A highway or deliveries on class B highways. This restriction shall not apply to streets over which are routed state trunk highways, or which are designated a local truck route.
