§ 90-44. Administration and enforcement.
(a)
Village forester. The village forester shall report to the village administrator and shall have the following authority:
(1)
To require compliance with village rules and regulations governing the planting, maintenance, protection, removal, fertilization, pruning, and bracing of trees on the streets or other public sites in the municipality and to enforce the provisions of this division;
(2)
To direct, regulate, and control the planting, maintenance, protection, and removal of all trees growing now or hereafter in any public area of the village of Hartland, to ensure safety or preserve the aesthetics of such public sites.
(3)
To supervise or inspect all work done under tree work permits issued in accordance with the terms of this division.
(4)
To affix reasonable conditions and/or fees to the granting of a tree work permit in accordance with the terms of this division.
(b)
Master street tree plan. The June 2003 Street Tree Inventory Report and Management Plan for the Village of Hartland shall be the master street tree plan for the village.
